Watch Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana full movie on Zee5.Just weeks after the shooting of a police officer in Wisconsin, Trump falsely claimed he "gave you the raise" because of him during a rally for Republican senatorial candidate Leah Vukmir.
"I gave you the raise, I gave you the raise, but you weren't happy," Trump said to a room full of cheering supporters. "The raise was so big. You know, I've been giving you raises over a long period of time."
It’s not clear exactly what Trump meant by this. Wisconsin’s Public Service Commission raised the minimum wage for government employees by nearly $5 an hour in 2012 and again in 2015. Trump has talked about a potential raise before, most recently at the end of October during an event with the Vukmir campaign.
While the minimum wage did increase during that time, Trump didn’t suggest the event was responsible for the raise. In fact, Trump has made no direct mention of the raise and it appears that it has not increased since 2012.
Trump’s campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Trump previously made a claim that he raised the minimum wage in New Hampshire in an interview with Fox News in January. But the New Hampshire Division of Labor Standards did not adjust the minimum wage from $8 an hour to $9.60 an hour between 2012 and 2015, according to the Associated Press.
The former real estate mogul has a history of making false claims.
He previously said that thousands of illegal immigrants were sending their "drugs" across the U.S.-Mexico border, and also has falsely claimed that he has been endorsed by the "Bush family."
Trump also had little to say about the shooting of an Appleton, Wisconsin, police officer. At a rally last week, Trump said that he was "sure" that one of the officers shot and killed was a supporter. Trump also falsely claimed that the officer was "very fine man, a great police officer," according to the Associated Press.
FBI agent Scott Olson, 32, was shot dead Thursday night by Gary A. Noe Jr., 37, who was later killed by police. Noe was a registered Republican, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. The Republican Party declined to comment to the paper. 0b46394aab
